Before We Arrive: What You Should Do

A little prep on your end makes a big difference. Before your appointment, take a few minutes to:

• Clear your windows. Remove any stickers, suction cup mounts, or decals from the inside of your glass. We can work around most things, but a clean surface gives you the best result.
• Empty the area around your windows. Move any items sitting on your dashboard or back deck that could get in the way during installation.
• Choose a shaded or covered spot. If you have a garage or a shaded driveway, that's ideal. Direct sunlight can affect how the film sets during installation. Don't worry — we'll work with what you have.
• Have your film package decided. Whether you're going with our Basic Coverage package (INSULEX True Carbon IR film) or upgrading to our flagship Royal Protection package (X Supreme Nano Ceramic with a lifetime warranty), knowing your choice ahead of time keeps things moving.

What Happens When We Show Up

When your King Romer technician arrives, expect a friendly, professional visit — not a rushed job. Here's the general flow:

1. Quick Walk-Around

We'll do a brief inspection of your windows to note any existing chips, scratches, or condition issues. This protects both of us and ensures you know the glass condition before film goes on.

2. Surface Cleaning

This is one of the most important steps. We thoroughly clean each window with professional-grade solutions to remove dust, oils, and debris. Any contamination trapped under the film will show up as bubbles or specks — so we don't skip this.

3. Film Cutting and Application

Using precision tools, we cut the film to fit your exact windows. Then comes the wet application — film is applied using a slip solution that allows us to position it perfectly before it bonds to the glass.

4. Squeegee and Finishing

Once positioned, we use a squeegee to remove the solution and lock the film in place. Edges are carefully worked for a clean, factory-style finish.

How Long Does It Take?

Most standard vehicles take 1.5 to 3 hours depending on the number of windows and the complexity of the job. Trucks with large rear windows or vehicles with deep curves may take a bit longer. We'll give you a realistic time estimate when you book.

After the Install: Curing and Care

Once the film is on, it needs time to fully cure — typically 3 to 5 days depending on temperature and humidity. During Utah County summers, curing is usually faster thanks to the heat.

During the curing period:

• Don't roll down your windows. This is the most important rule. Rolling them down before the film cures can cause it to peel.
• Expect some haze or small water bubbles. This is completely normal and will disappear as the film dries.
• Avoid cleaning the inside of the glass for at least 3 days.

After that, you're good to go — and if you chose our Royal Protection package, your film is covered for life.
