Basic vs. Royal: Which King Romer Tint Package Is Right for Your Car?
Basic vs. Royal: Which King Romer Tint Package Is Right for Your Car?
Choosing a window tint isn't just about blocking sunlight — it's about protecting your investment, staying comfortable on Utah County's scorching summer roads, and getting real value for your money. At King Romer, we keep it simple with two carefully designed packages: Basic Coverage and Royal Protection. Here's everything you need to know to make the right call.
What Is the Basic Coverage Package?
The Basic Coverage package is built around INSULEX True Carbon IR film — a high-quality carbon infrared-rejecting film that delivers serious performance without the premium price tag.
What you get:
- True carbon construction — no metal, so no interference with GPS, cell signals, or radar detectors
- Infrared heat rejection — keeps the cabin noticeably cooler on hot Utah afternoons
- Color stability — carbon film resists fading and won't turn purple over time
- Clean, matte finish — a sleek look that complements any vehicle
Basic Coverage is a smart pick for drivers in Eagle Mountain, Saratoga Springs, or Lehi who want dependable UV and heat protection without stretching their budget. If you commute daily or just need solid all-around performance, this package delivers.
What Is the Royal Protection Package?
Royal Protection is King Romer's flagship offering — and it earns that title. This package uses X Supreme Nano Ceramic film, a top-tier technology that sets the standard for modern window tinting.
What you get:
- Nano ceramic technology — rejects significantly more infrared heat than standard carbon films
- Superior UV protection — blocks up to 99% of harmful UV rays, protecting your skin and your interior
- Crystal clarity — ceramic film maintains optical clarity with virtually no haze or distortion
- Signal-friendly — no metal means zero interference with your electronics
- Lifetime warranty — King Romer stands behind this film with a warranty that covers you for as long as you own the vehicle
Drivers in American Fork, Pleasant Grove, and across Utah County who want the absolute best — whether for a luxury vehicle, a daily driver they plan to keep long-term, or simply peace of mind — Royal Protection is the clear choice.
Side-by-Side: How Do They Compare?

So, Which One Should You Choose?
Here's the honest answer: both packages are genuinely good. King Romer doesn't offer a "bad" option — Basic Coverage uses quality film that outperforms many competitors' premium tiers.
That said, here's a simple way to decide:
- Choose Basic Coverage if you want reliable heat and UV protection at a fair price, or if you're tinting a vehicle you plan to sell or trade in within a few years.
- Choose Royal Protection if you want maximum heat rejection, lifetime coverage, and the confidence that comes with the best ceramic film on the market — especially valuable during Utah's brutal summers in cities like Saratoga Springs or Eagle Mountain where temperatures regularly push past 100°F.
If you're on the fence, our team is happy to walk you through what makes the most sense for your specific vehicle and lifestyle.
